My son’s bd was on the 23th. Feliz Dia, mi amor.

An illustration that I did for the invitation to his bd, and the 3D sculpture made out of fondant for the bd cake. Cake girl is an artist!

I’ll post a nicer pick of the sculpture later today. I kept it!

SCBWI-AZ – Resignation

As of today, I’m no longer Co-Illustrator’s Rep for the Arizona Chapter of SCBWI. Any question about the Chapter, can be directed to Tanja Bauerle – our current Illustrator’s Rep.

I’m glad I had the opportunity to help the Illustrators in our Region.

Workshops – Update: Cummings + Hellmuth

One more week for Pat’s Workshop in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Two weeks for Claudine’s workshop in Sedona, Arizona. Can’t wait.

Pat Cummings – Workshop’s Update

All spots have been filled for the October 4th Workshop in Scottsdale, Arizona. We are 22. I can’t wait to see everybody’s pieces! Only two more weeks to go.

Initial sketches of assignments have been emailed to Pat and her comments are starting to come back. Haven’t received mine back yet. Here’s a sketch that I didn’t send. I decided to go with Rapunzel. I’ll post her later.

IF – Island

Mi Topo Gigio

I was raised with Topo Gigio. He was the sweetest, roundest, cutest, most tender mouse that touched my side of the world.

I ran into these videos in YouTube. Looking at him is a treat… even if you don’t understand what’s he’s saying.

Claudine Hellmuth’s Workshop in Sedona

One more month until Claudine’s workshop! I can’t wait for her class. My buddy Debbi Pehrson Haun and I are taking the workshop. We signed up back in January!!

Claudine will give a 4 day collage class at the Sedona Arts Center. Class is full now but you can be put on the waiting list by calling the Center: (888) 954 4442.

Piggie’s Little World – V

After many moons, Piggies have finally left the Studio. I took some pictures while I was working on the last piece so you can see how neat my studio looks when I’m working with colored pencils. You really don’t want to visit when I’m working my mixed media pieces.

I don’t have a release date for “I Can Cook” yet. I’ll be sure to post the info as soon as I get the news from the EECI. I’ll include the list of retailers that will carry copies of the book. Can’t wait to see it printed!
