Northern Arizona Book Festival: Young Reader Fest

Now in its 21st year, the Northern Arizona Book Festival will bring a weeklong literary extravaganza filled with readings, workshops, and book signings.

Incorporated into the Northern Arizona Book Festival will be a slate of young readers’ events—our Young Reader Fest—on Saturday, October 15th. From 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Flagstaff-Coconino County Public Library Downtown, we’ll have some of the best and brightest local and regional children’s and young adult authors, reading, signing, meeting, and greeting. All events are free and open to the public. Books for all authors will be on sale throughout the day. The theme is Nature & Diversity.

The Flagstaff City-Coconino County Public Library Main Library is located at 300 W Aspen Ave in Flagstaff, Arizona 86001.

We’ll be reading the book and learning some Spanish words. You’ll have a chance to have your copy of the book sign after the event. The reading of LA MADRE GOOSE will follow B&N’s Weekly National Storytime. Two book readings in one Saturday!

The Fiesta features Juana’s new book, “La Madre Goose”, and an illustrating workshop for kids.

We’ll start reading the book. Then, Juana will have a bilingual presentation around her new book “La Madre Goose” where children will learn new Spanish words.

She continue working with the children on Abecedario (Alphabet) Cards. The children will draw, color and write basic vocabulary words in English and Spanish to create their own bilingual Alphabet Cards.

A new event organized by the Scottsdale Public Library. A variety of youth activities and events featuring local authors and illustrators, science and technology.

Children’s Learning and Play Festival will be held at Westworld of Scottsdale at 16601 N Pima Rd in Scottsdale, Arizona. Free admission. Parking $5. Indoors and air-conditioned.

LA MADRE GOOSE – Arizona Authors Summer Storytime

Come to the Pueblo Grande Museum on Saturday, July 30th! We’ll be reading LA MADRE GOOSE (Putnam 2016) and making crafts related to the book shortly after.

Pueblo Grande Museum is located at 4619 E Washington St, in Phoenix, Arizona. The program is ideal for children ages Pre-K to 4th grade. Museum staff design and facilitate the crafts activities.
