Lellie, Lellie!
You can now order “Lellie The Different Elephant” a book written by Lois Ann Garza. I illustrated the book with colored pencils. These pieces were the last done with this medium. For the brighter pieces, I used inks to create an under-painting.
I got my copies this week so here I am sharing some pictures with you.
Some sketches and illustrations from the book that you may have seen if you visited my previous website. I thought I would include them here since pretty soon I will be removing all colored pencil pieces from my portfolio area.
And these are my table and studio while working on Lellie.
Q – Was it always this organized and clean, Juana?
A – I’m afraid so and that’s why I love working on my mixed media. Me happy when a little bit messy.
And here you can download and print a coloring page for you and your shortest humans in the house:

Hurray! Today I got my copy of your colorful book! I love your color pencil techniques! Why do you say? “I will be removing all colored pencil pieces from my portfolio”

I love colored pencils but it got to a point where I no longer felt challenged plus pain was horrible after working a few hours. I don’t want to be hired to do any more colored pencil so I have to remove all those pieces from my portfolio.
